Chris Stamey - The summer sun/ Where the fun is (77)

When I walk down the street, pavement slapping my feet, sun feels like the way I think of you.
Airplane divides the sky. Sky divides the day. Two and two are one in the summer sun.

After I turn out the light, and I lie awake at night, thinkin’ that it’s got to be, that’s the way it is.
Love is only love but it’s the least we think the most of.
And some are always cold in the summer sun.

When I get to your door, when I knock on the bell, there’s no way to tell what I think of you.
You keep track of the time, and I’ll hang my heart on the line.
If I’m lost, I’ve won in the summer sun.

So you think it’s really hot, and you give it all you’ve got,
even though it’s falling down like the Eiffel Tower.

Love is only love but it’s the least we think the most of.
And some are always cold in the summer sun.
